About The Founders

If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve got some great ideas of your own to change the world, but somehow you’ve not gotten to pursuing any of them yet. CediWISE is one of these ideas that almost never was. After two unsuccessful attempts (and lots of money down the drain), the idea was to be forgotten. But a chance encounter between a trainee and his many-years-lost trainer rekindled the love, and the rest, as they say, is history. Here are the folks currently running the show:

George Appiah

George Appiah

George Apppiah – Head Janitor (aka Chief Executive Officer): Often mildly out of touch with reality, George Appiah is a Strategic Technology Consultant, Trainer & Speaker– helping Smart Ghanaians leverage technology to hack poverty out of our dear nation Ghana.

Having failed to survive corporate Ghana and at finding a girl, George set out to follow his passion with the hope that wealth, fame and girls will follow. Besides founding and leading CediWISE, he also founded and leads Amenifis Communications Limited, the eponymous George Appiah Foundation, and is also involved in several other startups and non-profits.

George studied Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology and graduated in 2002. Call George on +233-24-1885761 or email george@cediwise.com.

Belinda Bakantuma Abiro

Belinda Bakantuma Abiro

Belinda Bakantuma Abiro – Manager, Business Development: Belinda is the thinkologist and imageneer who runs the show and is always dreaming of the next big feature or service to introduce at CediWISE.

Belinda is currently studying at the University of Ghana where she’s pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Linguistics.

When she’s not cooking CediWISE’s next product or studying for her degree, you’re likely to find her buried under a big pile of novels or hanging out with friends. “To me, every opportunity is a challenge to make a difference in my life, the lives of the people around me and the world as a whole.”

Mubarak Sumaila

Mubarak Sumaila

Mubarak Sumaila – Manager, Advertising & Partnerships: Mubarak is the deals guy who makes life go round over here at CediWISE. He’s also a wannabe geek and occasionally goes under the hood to fix stuff here.

If he doesn’t turn up early at the office, we just know he was up too late into the previous night playing scrabble or surfing the Internet. He even claims he’s great at football and table tennis, except no one has seen him play before.

Mubarak is a final year student at the University of Ghana where he’s pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology.
